Steelers trade for Bears QB Justin Fields

The Pittsburgh Steelers have acquired now former Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields, the team announced Saturday.

Fields was the 11th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and started 38 total games for the Bears.

In three seasons with Chicago, Fields has a career completion percentage of 60.3, along with 40 passing touchdowns and 14 rushing touchdowns.

In exchange for Fields, the Bears received a conditional 6th round pick in next year's draft.

Following Saturday's trade, it was reported that Fields is expected to be the back-up behind the Steelers' newest starting quarterback, Russell Wilson.
